SMC KQG2 series one-touch pneumatic fittings provide users with a multitude of advantages. In comparison to the existing KQG range, these fittings have a size that is 30% smaller and a weight that is 62% lighter. Additionally, they are adaptable to a variety of tubing diameters ranging from 3.2 to 16mm.
These fittings are built with an incredibly lightweight and convenient design, making them a great option for uses in many environments; from air and water to steam, these fittings have exceled in a wide range of pressures and temperatures (-100kPa to 1MPa and -5°C to 150°C respectively).
Furthermore, these fittings are produced with SUS316 stainless steel for superior rust-resistance properties compared to the grade 304 stainless steel. This feature makes them very beneficial for processes that take place in areas with a high amount of chloride.
The SMC KQG2 series one-touch pneumatic fittings are constructed using SUS316 stainless steel, which offers advanced levels of anti-corrosion properties than the popular 304 grade stainless steel. In particular, SUS316 provides superior pitting and corrosion resistance, particularly in chlorine intensive environments.
SMC KQG2 series one-touch pneumatic fittings are also noted for their compact and lightweight design. The dimensions of the product are approximately 30% shorter than the KQGL06-01S predecessor and approximately 62% lighter, with the majority of the metal components constructed from stainless steel 316, enhanced with a special FKM sealant layer. Furthermore, SMC KQG2 series one-touch pneumatic fittings work best with tubing materials such as TEP, PFA, Nylon, soft nylon, polyurethane and polyolefin.

Note 1) For soft nylon tubing, water cannot be used.
Note 2) Consult with SMC regarding applicable tube separately.
Note 3) Avoid using in a vacuum holding application such as a leak tester, since there is leakage.
Note 4) Check the operating pressure range and operating temperature range of the tubing.
